About our client:

We are hiring on behalf of our client, an established organisation with a large-scale digital presence. They are seeking reliable ongoing support to maintain and optimise their Contentful-based web platform. This role will initially focus on the current tech stack and then transition to their new website following its launch in late October.


Job Overview:

This is a 12-month contract requiring approximately three days of support each month. The work is primarily maintenance-focused, ensuring system stability, keeping packages up to date, and addressing issues as they arise. While new feature development is limited, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, applying security upgrades, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the platform.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide monthly maintenance and health checks across the web platform.
  • Deliver system health reports and apply package/security updates (JavaScript, .NET).
  • Support stability of the Angular front end and ensure all JS packages remain current.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the custom C# .NET backend API used as a wrapper for Contentful CMS.
  • Ensure reliable integration with Contentful CMS.
  • Provide operational support in case of outages or performance issues.
  • Manage and optimise enterprise-level AWS DevOps setup, such as:
  • Load balancing
  • Auto-scaling groups
  • API Gateway
  • Firewalls, WAF, and CDN
  • Support tagging, tracking, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, GTM, Google product suite).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support smooth platform operations.
  • Transition support to the new website and updated tech stack once launched in late October.


Essential skills/experience:

  • Comfortable working in a support-focused, maintenance-heavy environment with limited new development.
  • Proven experience in front-end development with Angular.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript package maintenance and security updates.
  • Solid expertise in C# .NET, particularly in API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with Contentful CMS and API integration.
  • Strong DevOps skills within AWS, including scaling, security, and operational management.


Desirable skills/experience:

  • Understanding of HubSpot for marketing automation (desirable).
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Google Analytics, GTM, and related tools
