Overview:

We are partnering with our client to find a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will create, manage, and execute automated tests to ensure software quality across web applications. The ideal candidate has strong automation experience, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that software meets high standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using leading automation frameworks.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop test strategies.
• Run automated tests, analyse results, and report defects, performance bottlenecks, or other areas requiring attention.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure software is delivered with high quality.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews.

Skills and experience:

• Demonstrated experience in QA automation with expertise in Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Strong skills in writing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience testing web applications on multiple browsers and environments.
• Familiarity with advanced Playwright capabilities such as network request mocking, headless testing, parallel execution, and visual testing.
• Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of QA practices, automation frameworks, and defect management.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript; additional experience with Python, Java, or C# is advantageous.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
