Overview:

As a PHP Developer, you’ll play an integral role in the development of high-quality, large-scale web applications. You’ll be part of a collaborative project team, responsible for building new features, enhancing existing platforms, and ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and scalable. You’ll also contribute ideas to improve processes and help shape the technical direction of projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise custom web applications as part of a project team.
  • Contribute to technical planning, estimation, and scoping of new projects.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation when required.
  • Ensure all work meets agreed deadlines and adheres to quality standards.
  • Participate in daily or weekly stand-ups and share progress with colleagues.
  • Build applications using a modern MVC framework such as Laravel or Symfony.
  • Work with ORMs (e.g. Doctrine2) for database interaction.
  • Integrate supporting technologies including Redis, Memcache, Linux, and Nginx.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Docker and AWS.


Skills and experience:

  • Experience working on both small-scale projects and larger enterprise applications.
  • Proactive approach with the confidence to suggest new tools, frameworks, or improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of the LEMP stack.
  • Proficient with version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with package managers such as Composer and npm.
  • Solid understanding of Docker and Linux command line.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
