Your Role and Responsibilities:


As a Technical Lead, your role is split between balancing quality assurance, hands-on development, planning, and team management.


  • Oversee a product team dedicated to enhancing and evolving the platform.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to design solutions and prioritise tasks for optimal impact.
  • Aim to deliver straightforward and secure solutions across the technology stack, considering their long-term architectural implications.
  • Support and mentor engineers within your team.
  • Promote excellence throughout the platform.
  • Manage and develop a team of three direct reports.
  • Contribute to broader technology decisions and share achievements with the organisation.

Essential Requirements:


  • Demonstrated experience as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead.
  • Successful history of working with product companies to build and maintain long-term platforms.
  • Strong technical expertise in PHP, MySQL, and AWS.
  • Proficiency in developing scalable systems using modern technologies such as Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Cloudflare, and AWS.
  • Experience with quality assurance tools such as PHPUnit and PHPStan.




Desirable Requirements:

  • Zend Framework / Laminas / Mezzio (other PHP frameworks accepted)
  • CloudFormation
