About Us:
We're seeking a talented Sales Development Consultant to help our client on a freelance basis.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in generating leads from scratch, researching new business opportunities, and making the initial contact with potential clients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Generate new business for our tech conferences
- Making companies aware of the events so that they might sponsor
- Making companies aware of the events so that they can send their employees
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospects through research, networking, and cold-calling.
- Understand potential sponsor needs and demonstrate the value of being at our events and in front of our highly skilled and motivated audience.
- Conduct Business-to-Business calling to generate opportunities.
- Pre-qualify leads and ensure a seamless handover to the team.
- Work with our senior team to pitch to potential sponsors.
- Achieve recruitment lead generation targets and objectives set by the business.
- Work closely with the team to identify potential prospects.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven track record in a similar role, specifically within an event sales or event sponsorship sales domain.
- 3+ years experience in a Business Development Manager / Sales Development role.
- Some knowledge of the software engineering/tech industry.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strong-willed and resilient, with a positive attitude and outlook.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Flexible approach with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and business needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
